    Good luck to Paul. DDI have the basics right for sure. We’re all sick of representative democracy where TDs are elected on false promises and deliver nothing but croneyism, crookery and clientalism; working solely for their own / their party’s gain with zero regard for the country except when an election is in the offing and the false promises come out again. And round and round it goes.

      Although the idea has been around for a good while here (there has been a few Independents down the years with similar idea) , very few if any governments have taken such drastic and long term devastating decisions as the current one despite knowing the bulk of the country was against them.
      At the time there were many not in favour of the bailout, few in favour of NAMA and so on.
